Goliath beetle larvae requires sticky soil in order to form pupa cells!! Stop the wondering phase or risk losing your larvae!
We have 2 options for the goliath pupation substrate:
55 oz bag: This high clay-content soil has been sifted to the proper particle size then frozen to eliminate any pests/organisms. One bag of this substrate contains about 55 oz. It is enough for 1 Goliath beetle to pupate, but for bigger individuals, you may also mix this substrate with flake soil and/or other clay/dirt as long as sticky level is proper for your Goliath beetle larvae to pupate. This soil is collected from Southeastern part of the US.
90 oz substrate with container: This mix of clay and sand soil has been sifted to the proper particle size then frozen to eliminate any pests/organisms. This option contains the sand clay soil in 90 oz container with punched lid. It is enough for 1 Goliath beetle to pupate regardless of size. This spacious container gives enough room for any size of grub to pupate.
