Live Animal Shipping

  • Overnight Shipping: Using FedEx, UPS Next Day Air, generally Monday to Wednesday to avoid possible delay over the weekend. We will check temperature/weather and work with you in the best interest of the animals.
  •  2-4 Days Shipping: Using USPS Priority (1-4 days), FedEx 2nd Day, or UPS Ground, generally Monday to Tuesday to avoid possible delay. Please note that 2-4 days shipping does not apply to live amphibians.
  • Once shipped, shipping is NON-REFUNDABLE under any circumstance, no exceptions, even if the package is lost, stolen, or delayed. Shipping carriers take zero responsibility for lost, stolen, or delayed packages. 
  • Buyer is responsible to be at home at the time of delivery or to pick up from local FedEx Hub by noon of the day.
  • Buyer is responsible to submit proper and correct shipping address. Failure to provide the correct address may incur additional redelivery charges, and if delay is caused, it will void Live Arrival Guarantee. 

Animal Live Arrival and Extended Health Guarantee

We guarantee that all animals will arrive alive and in good health, provided that:

  • Someone is there to accept the package on the first delivery attempt, or the package is picked up by end of the day of arrival if the package is held at a FedEx Hub or Ship Center for pickup.
  • For Invertbrates (Beetles, Isopods, and etc.). If the temperature of the destination is outside of 40°F to 85°F, Live Arrival & Extended Health Guarantee DO NOT apply unless overnight shipping option is selected. 
  • Failure to meet these guidelines will VOID Live Arrival and Health Guarantee.

Note: Shipping is not refunded under any circumstances because it is a cost paid to the carriers and are not recoverable.

Live Arrival Guarantee Claims on Animals

If animals arrive deceased, to receive a refund or credit, we require the following:

  • The customer notifies us of the condition of the animal(s) within 4 hour of arrival via email at jamjamexotic@gmail.com, or via text at 213-373-3670.
  • Picture(s) or video(s) of the animal(s) must be sent within 4 hours of delivery
  • Failure to meet these guidelines will void our Live Arrival Guarantee.

Extended Health Guarantee Claims on Animals

If animal(s) appear to be in poor or unlikely to survive condition, It must be reported within 3 days of delivery for us to offer extended guarantee on all animal(s). We will help and guide you to nurse the animals(s) back to health. If animal(s) purchased fail to thrive and become deceased afterward, a refund or credit, at the discretion of the customer, is given. If it is not reported to us within 3 days, we will assume the animal(s) arrive healthy, and any further matters or conditions are outside our control.

Deposit on Animal

Unless otherwise agreed upon, our policy is as follows: 

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit must be made in order for us to hold the animal(s) for you
  • We only hold the animals for up to 15 days, if full payment is not received within 15 days, we have the right to advertise/sell the animal(s) reserved for you, and you will receive store credit for the deposit money.
  • After the deposit is received, If customer decides to NOT get the reserved animal, we must be notified no later than 7 days after the initial deposit is received. Failure to do so will result in $20 reserve fee being charged from the initial deposit.
